Easy Street Environments is an integral part of the comprehensive rehabilitation program offered at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center. Easy Street is a life-sized replica of a city street that provides a unique concept in medical rehabilitation. Individual modules include a grocery store, bus stop, greenhouse, Laundromat, restaurant, theatre, and home with a kitchen, dining room, and bedroom.

These areas of Easy Street incorporate real world obstacles including curbs, steps, ramps, slopes, and turnstiles. A physical therapy gym and occupational therapy center are conveniently located on Easy Street. The Easy Street Environments enhance the well-established rehabilitation program offered at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, and is the only facility of its kind in Washington State.

Easy Street Environments is advantageous to patients striving to relearn daily living skills in order to regain their independence and confidence in everyday tasks. The interdisciplinary rehabilitation team encourages patients to achieve functional goals and Easy Street is an ideal setting for obtaining these goals.
